Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Lockheed Martin is looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis.
You will offer a mechanical bias with responsibility for the installation, maintenance and repair of machinery and mechanical systems including bespoke LM assets.
Required skills, qualifications and experience: Apprenticeship or other equal qualification (Mechanical) and/or evidence of sufficient training to similar standard.
Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
Basic knowledge of related trades such as electrical, plumbing etc to sufficient level to support team colleagues when required.
A Mechanical Fitting background would be along the right kind of lines, experience of using lathes, milling, sheet metal work, woodwork, electrical and electronic fault diagnostics and general maintenance, etc.
Mechanical Engineering background ideal.
Knowledge of machine language such as Fanuc an advantage.
Knowledge and experience of using lifting equipment and mechanical aids such as pallet trucks, Forklifts, cranes etc (LM training provided).
Experience of working to safety risk assessments and method statements.
Ability to gain SC security clearance.
