Mechanical Inspector - Henlow

MERITUS are recruiting for a Mechanical Inspector to join our client in Aerospace and Defence in Henlow on an initial 12 month contract.
PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST BE ABLE TO PRESENT AN NVQ LEVEL 3 AND HNC/HND CERTIFICATE UPON APPLICATION.MECHANICAL INSPECTOR - INSIDE IR35 - £25.52 PER HOUR (RISING TO £27.54 PER HOUR) - HENLOW - 12 MONTHS - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS*MUST HAVE NVQ 3 & HNC/HND CERTIFICATES UPON APPLICATION*Responsibilities: Certify the product in line with the product certification procedureExamining for correct assemblyExamining the finish of all parts to detect faulty finishing or painting, deterioration of surfaces etc.Inspect for physical damageIntermediate inspection checks non product certificationMonitor product certification operatorsCheck and complete all paperwork associated with the manufacturing data packControl defect items via segregation from good productRaise and maintain relevant data records/defect reportsProduce relevant inspection/quality control documentation/history sheetsCare for and use specialised inspection toolsMaintain product certification and approval via regular auditsEnsure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing processEnsure inspection times are metPossess a versatile skill base with the capability to apply these skills across a range of tasksMaintain to the highest level, workmanship standards and product qualityMaintain a safe working environmentMaintain a good housekeeping policyWilling to contribute to an environment of process improvement.Skillset/experience required:Formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21or HNCSeveral years' experience as a skilled personIPC certified/trained preferred.
