Job Description Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Gearbox Fitter required to join a leading Engineering Manufacturer in Huddersfield.
The Successful Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Gearbox Fitter will provide fitting, stripping, and rebuilding of industrial gearboxes at the workshop in Huddersfield.
The Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Gearbox Fitter will ideally have an engineering background in gearboxes, drive systems, power transmission, gearmotors, gear units, or similar mechanical engineering products.
Package \n £34,000 - £39,000 \n Overtime \n Annual bonus \n Pension \n Additional benefits \n Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Gearbox Fitter role: \n To provide mechanical provide fitting, stripping, and rebuilding of industrial gearboxes at the workshop in Huddersfield.
\n Read drawings, wiring diagrams, identify components, assemble and/or repair industrial gearboxes.
\n Maintain good quality and efficiency.
\n Flexibility of skills to carry out fault finding, testing, wiring and mechanical fitting.
\n Maintain good housekeeping, awareness of and adherence to health and safety requirements.
\n Ability to complete technical documentation as work is progresses.
\n To perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
\n Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Gearbox Fitter Requirements: \n Experience stripping, rebuilding, and fitting Helical, Worm, Bevel Helical, Spur gearboxes is essential.
\n Experience as a fitter, mechanical fitter, electro-mechanical fitter, mechanical engineer, service engineer, electrical engineer, workshop engineer, service technician, gearbox fitter.
\n Ability to work to strict quality guidelines within ISO9001 and RISAS \n A knowledge of safety systems such as Risk Assessments and COSHH Assessments will be advantageous \n An engineering qualification would be advantageous.
\n Willingness to commute to the workshop in Huddersfield \n
