Supporting one of our key clients we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer.
This is a key role where you will be collaborating with various disciplined engineers and project managers to ensure the implementation and success of decommissioning activities on various systems.
Using your problem-solving skills and experience in Mechanical/Electrical assemblies to investigate designs, survey as-build plant and create disassembly strategies.
This is a fast-paced role where you will have the opportunity to be involved in cutting edge highly complex projects surrounded by experts in the industry.
Responsibilities As the Mechanical Engineer you will also be responsible for the following: Investigating engineering designs which also includes physical inspections.
Establish disassembly strategies, prepare plans, and risk assessments.
Create procedures and method statements including safe system of work.
Management of technical documentation related to the disassembly of systems, using management systems and SharePoint.
Collaborate with Project Managers and Stakeholders to provide regular report and progress to wards the completion of the assigned work packages.
Organise meetings, record minutes and create actions.
Supporting the project to ensure it is completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications and Experience To be considered for the Mechanical Engineer role you should have: HND, degree, or equivalent in engineering.
Experience working in a technical role, ideally in an engineering, nuclear or defence environment.
Understanding of the engineering process including system design and Electrical/Mechanical assemblies.
Experience in project planning and estimating.
CAD software experience.
Problem solving skills are essential with a proactive approach.
Strong communication skills and happy speaking with a variety of disciplined colleagues.
Happy working in a fast-paced environment supporting on highly complex projects.
Previous experience in decommissioning (desirable).
