The Manufacturing Engineer will be the main point of contact for manufacturing technical troubleshooting.
This role involves close collaboration with design teams to optimise product performance and manufacturability while maintaining high quality and efficiency in production.
Developing efficient manufacturing processes, implementing continuous improvement initiatives and troubleshooting any production issues using initiative in achieving department and business objectives.
What's involved for the Manufacturing Engineer… Use project management tools Interpret CAD or Solidwork drawings Collaborate with design and development engineering to ensure designs are suitable for a lean manufacturing environment Support validation and testing of new designs or design improvements, ensuring performance and reliability.
Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance production efficiency and product quality Improve production efficiencies and maintain the product (and information) flow throughout the organisation.
Analyse Build data - Review Shop floor build data.
Identify problem areas and issues.
Investigate and make recommendations for improvement Assist in the design of fixturing, tooling and handling equipment.
Keep up to date with current manufacturing processes and maintain a good working knowledge of all product lines NCR's - Ensure all rejected purchase parts are correctly recorded on NCR's - responsibility for creating NCR's is shared with the persons reporting the Issue.
What you'll need… Experienced project or manufacturing engineer Proficient with Lean Manufacturing techniques Continuous improvement experience HNC from an accredited college or university Minimum of two years of experience in product design, fluid flow, rotating equipment, leading projects.
