Mechanical Engineer - Hvac

Mechanical Engineer (HVAC) Location: London Duration: 6 Months (Renewable) Seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer for a Pre-FEED project in the shipbuilding industry.
This role involves designing efficient HVAC solutions for shipyard environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specific project requirements.
Key Responsibilities Perform feasibility studies and initial design assessments for HVAC systems in shipbuilding projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and timelines.
Develop layouts, specifications, and calculations to meet regulatory and project standards.
Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, equipment lists, and cost estimates.
Evaluate and select HVAC equipment suitable for marine applications.
Identify design challenges and propose solutions to enhance system performance.
Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to meet project milestones.
Provide regular project updates and address technical questions in meetings.
Support the transition from Pre-FEED to detailed design to ensure continuity.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related field.
Years of experience in HVAC design, ideally in marine or shipbuilding sectors.
Proficiency in HVAC design software (AutoCAD, Revit, HAP) and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of marine HVAC standards (ABS, DNV GL).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
HVAC design certification (e.g., ASHRAE) is a plus.
