Mechanical Design Engineer

I'm looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineering contractor, with experience working on projects involving industrial Automation!

The role is ready for immediate start and will involve working with a highly organised team, on projects for special purpose industrial automation machinery
Core Responsibilities Create detailed mechanical designs and schematics for industrial automation systems developed from concepts.
Encompassing design, drawings and schematics within SolidWorks under the guidance of the Design Manager.
Complete pneumatic designs inclusive of concepts, drawings and schematics.
Specify components for industrial automation systems.
Create drawings to all relevant worldwide Standards as directed by the Design Manager.
Work with the Design and Applications Engineering teams and deliver projects on time.
Essential Minimum of 5 years of industrial automation/special purpose machine design experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience using 3D CAD Software, preferably SolidWorks.
Educated to degree level preferably in Mechanical Engineering or related fields (2.1 or above).
A logical approach to problem solving.
Well organised, ability to work to deadlines and a high attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise a heavy workload.
Excellent interpersonal skills – both written and verbal.
Ability and willingness to work as part of a team.
Desirable Experience of machine vision and vision system technology integration.
