Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer with a background in the built environment, construction or building services who is looking for a permanent role and the opportunity to join a well established multi-disciplinary design consultancy consisting of Mechanical and Electrical Design Engineers, Chartered Surveyors, Architects, Civil and Structural Engineers at a period of expansive growth and success.

A background in mechanical design engineering is the requirement ideally with an understanding of working on defence projects.
In this role you will be working primarily on large scale Government and MOD buildings/projects and will be required to hold Security Clearance (not necessary to start)
Based in Portsmouth you will be working within the Engineering team providing professional solutions to construction problems.
Flexibility on location, there are offices in Monmouth where you can be based from.

We are currently able to consider different levels from Graduates to Senior level positions.
As such, there is a very broad salary range available and will depend on the level of experience.
The top end of the salary range considered for Chartered Engineers.

Job Responsibilities: You will be required to undertake all aspects of mechanical design.
Developing a project specification with colleagues, often including those from other engineering disciplines.
Producing details of specifications and outline designs.
You will liaise with engineers across the M&E discipline and Building Services.
You will be a client facing engineer and will be heavily involved in design team meetings with clients.
Communicate projects critical issues in a timely manner to Directors and clients Mentor graduates and technicians Experience and Key Skills: You will preferably have experience of working on large building projects (£5M+) Minimum of HNC in Building Services, and CIBSE existing member Excellent communication skills Proven ability to work as a team, building relationships with clients and other design team members.
Strong AutoCAD as a minimum and ideally an understanding and working knowledge of Revit Good knowledge of Microsoft Office with Microsoft Project experience desirable Excellent time management and general organizational skills.
Experience required in the following: Design Services, Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Comfort Cooling, AutoCAD, DHW Systems, Public Health Engineering Hevacomp experience along with SBEM calculations would be a key area required.
Experience Preferred in the following: BMS & Controls, Drainage, Experience in BIM desirable but not essential Job Role: Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: £30-65k (dep on exp) + Bonus + Benefits
