We're seeking a talented and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you will design, develop, and prototype custom electronic enclosures to support our cutting-edge products.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams-including electronic, mechanical, and manufacturing teams-to ensure enclosures meet functional, thermal, and aesthetic requirements, while maintaining design for manufacturability and cost-efficiency.
What you will be doing: Design 3D models of electronic enclosures using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or AutoCAD).
Perform structural analysis, thermal simulations, and stress analysis to ensure design integrity.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define enclosure requirements, including size, materials, port accessibility, and environmental factors (e.g., IP rating).
Produce detailed technical drawings and design documentation for prototypes and final products.
Select materials and finishes, ensuring they meet compliance (e.g., UL, RoHS) and environmental standards.
Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to create tooling for injection moulding, sheet metal fabrication, or 3D printing.
Lead design reviews and ensure design changes are captured in accordance with change control processes.
Support testing and validation activities, such as drop tests, vibration, and EMI shielding performance.
Address and resolve design-related issues during development, manufacturing, and testing phases.
  What you'll need to bring: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Design, another related field or equivalent.
Relevant experience in electronic enclosure design for consumer electronics, industrial equipment, or IoT devices.
Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent).
Strong understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly).
Experience with plastic injection moulding, die-casting, sheet metal design, and machining processes.
Knowledge of thermal management, EMI shielding, and IP-rated enclosure requirements.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., UL, IEC, RoHS, REACH).
