Extra Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Build position for one of our clients based in Dudley.
As a Mechanical Build / Fitter, you will be responsible for the build of sub-assembly units.
This position is then responsible for the integration of these units onto the overall machine build of Friction Welding Machinery, which also includes the installation an upgrade on-site at the customers location - both within the UK and Worldwide.
Mechanical Build / Fitter Responsibilities: Assemble machines per instructions Read hydraulic and pneumatic schematics Hydraulic tube bending / forming and making hose assemblies Install pneumatic and hydraulic systems Utilize welding ability to fabricate mounting brackets Inspect parts from a drawing using various inspection equipment Build spindles Build clamps Perform on-site installation, upgrades and refurbishments Operate machine shop equipment such as Miller, Lather, Surface Grinder, etc.
Integrate vendor automation, conveors, robots and guarding Promote cultural values and behaviour in others (Respectful, Purposeful, Integrity, Collaborative, Adaptable, Positive Attitude, Excellence, Effective Communication, Self-motivated, Responsible, Recognition & Appreciation) Perform other assignments, as requested by manager or supervisor Advise and recommend future technical and/or operational direction and process improvements as related to this function.
Mechanical Build / Fitter Details: Salary: £17.00 Per Hour Duration: Permanent Location: Dudley Schedule: Days (International travel twice a year) Mechanical Build / Fitter Requirements: Proven commitment to safety by an excellent safety record Keen ability to work within a strong team environment Proficiency in working to tight tolerances Experienced ability to read assembly drawings Experienced ability to read hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and layout Experience ability in tube bending Exceptional verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate problems with material and parts to the engineering department Demonstrated experience communicating with customers in a professional and knowledgeable manner Verifiable superior attendance history Proficiency in attention to detail Ability to adapt and be flexible to build design and schedule changes Demonstrated ability to effectively troubleshoot and anticipate results and make effective decisions.
Demonstrated commitment to Quality Ability to travel domestically and internationally, occasionally Ability to independently navigate foreign airports and countries with comfort.
Proven ability to demonstrate initiative and work without supervision.
Must conduct oneself with the highest level of professional and ethical standards.
