Mechanic

TEXO Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join the maintenance team of one of our external clients based in Blyth, Northumberland on a permanent basis.
Duties and Responsibilities: This is predominantly a day shift position; however, you will be required to work shifts and weekends when necessary.
Overtime will also be required to cover the needs of the business.
Due to the nature of the business, you will need to be flexible with a can do attitude.
You will also be required to assist with the loading/unloading of cargos.
Therefore, the successful candidates will be required to learn all aspects of Stevedoring including operating plant & equipment where required.
Previous experience of working with these types of equipment would be an advantage.
Essential Skills / Qualifications: Experience working on Large Diesel Engines (Cars, HGVs, Cranes, FLT's) This client is located across four sites, so a full driving license is essential.
Mechanical NVQ / HNC Experience, installing, servicing and repairing mechanical systems and equipment.
