Kerrs Tyres & Auto are now recruiting for a trained Mechanic to join our growing team in Northern Ireland. The Mechanic is responsible for the full maintenance and repairs of vehicles. Key Tasks Required: Ability to identify faults and repair components & fit new and manufactured parts Good mechanical aptitude Undertaking full inspection before hand-over to customer Recording all relevant details, completing records etc Understanding of diagnostics and fault finding Good communication skills Ability to work well as part of a team Maintaining a clean and neat work space and adhering to all company policies, procedures and safety standards Experience in Tyre fitting an advantage Essential Requirements: Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role Must be fully qualified mechanic or 2 years working experience Full Current Driving Licence essential Mechanics tool kit Experience in both Diagnostics and Fault Finding Other: Increase revenue through upselling to customers Exceed customer care standards, service and satisfaction through excellent quality of work, advice and customer interaction Commit to continual personal development, improvement and motivation through training, coaching and mentoring and engagement in performance reviews Communicate effectively with the Centre Manager and team Achieve job expectations and adhere to Company processes, policies and procedures to ensure productivity standards are met Identify any issues with equipment and vehicles and report to the Centre Manager at the earliest opportunity Maintain the cleanliness of the Centre, workshop, reception and Company vehicles Mechanical and visual check of Company vehicles Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene, appearance and uniform Develop technical knowledge by attending training when required Participate and engage in Centre team meetings Understand and adhere to Company policies and procedures to ensure a safe, secure and legal work environment Adhere to all rules and regulations including Health and Safety obligations, requirements and the reporting of accidents Undertake any other reasonable duties as shall from time to time be required by the Company, Centre Manager or Assistant Manager within the competency of the role and post holder Benefits: Company pension Employee discount On-site parking Referral programme Schedule: Monday to Friday Weekend availability Supplemental Pay Types: Bonus scheme Performance bonus Please click the APPLY button to submit your CV for this role Candidates with experience or relevant job titles of; Mechanical technician, Multi Skilled Technician, Technician, Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Repair Technician, Mobile Engineer, Mechanical Maintenance Technician, Mechanics, Machinery Technician, Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician may also be considered for this role.
