Responsibilities The Maths Teacher will: Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, ensuring alignment with the national curriculum and the school's high academic standards.
Inspire a love for mathematics, fostering a positive, stimulating learning environment that encourages students' engagement and confidence.
Support the school's behaviour policy, based on choice, chance, and consequence, helping to maintain a respectful and focused classroom culture.
Monitor and assess pupils' progress, adjusting lesson plans to address knowledge gaps and enhance subject understanding.
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and cross-curricular initiatives to enhance the learning experience.
Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing feedback on students' progress to build strong home-school partnerships.
Engage in the school's professional development programmes, contributing actively to a collaborative teaching environment.
Requirements The ideal candidate will have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with relevant qualifications in Mathematics.
Experience teaching mathematics at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 levels.
A passion for inspiring students, along with the ability to create an engaging, inclusive learning atmosphere.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to apply the school's behaviour policy consistently and effectively.
Excellent communication skills for building positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
