We are seeking a dedicated Maths & English Tutor to support students within Normanby and the surrounding area, providing targeted academic support that helps students excel in these core subjects.

Key Responsibilities: Provide High-Quality Tuition: Deliver engaging one-to-one or small group tutoring sessions in Maths and English for students of varying abilities, ensuring a deep understanding of key concepts.
Personalise Learning: Assess each student's strengths and areas for improvement, creating tailored lesson plans that meet their individual learning needs and goals.
Foster Academic Growth: Support students in building essential skills, preparing for exams, and achieving their academic targets through focused teaching and practice.
Track and Report Progress: Regularly monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust teaching strategies to optimize learning outcomes.
Promote Effective Study Habits: Guide students in developing effective study techniques, homework strategies, and time management skills.
Engage with Parents/Guardians: Maintain open communication with parents/guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
Qualifications and Experience: A degree in Mathematics, English, Education, or a related field would be desirable.
Proven experience in teaching or tutoring Maths and English at primary, secondary, or GCSE level.
Strong understanding of the curriculum and key teaching methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Familiarity with online tutoring tools and educational technology.
Personal Attributes: Passionate about education and committed to student success in Maths and English.
Patient, adaptable, and able to tailor teaching approaches to different learning styles.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to build rapport and inspire confidence in students.
