Materials Buyer - Goole, £34k + 4% bonus Our client is creating its first UK based Industry Hub on the outskirts of Goole in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
With an initial contract to assemble nearly 50 trains to service the Piccadilly line on the London Underground, the company is rapidly expanding and creating considerable progression opportunities.
As such, there is an exciting new opportunity to join as a Purchasing Operative as part of the Logistics team in Goole.
As a Purchasing Operative you will be responsible for ensuring the cost-efficient and on-time supply of materials, according to scheduled demand.
You will make an impact: You will form part of a team responsible for successfully processing purchase requests and then ensuring the on-time arrival of material on site.
You will engage with various other parties (both internal and external) in the supply chain to improve the flow of material, communicating or raising concerns as appropriate.
You will have a keen eye for detail, be comfortable analysing data and be able to relay and receive information from a variety of sources.
You will demonstrate: A strong working knowledge of the material purchasing process, from purchase order to product delivery.
Data analysis and I.T.
skills, with SAP / Excel knowledge advantageous.
Excellent communication and people skills, with an eye for detail.
