We are looking for an experienced Material Buyer (Chemicals) who will procure a variety of best quality chemicals to ensure adherence to the company's manufacturing plans.
You'll manage supplier relationships, contribute to cost-saving initiatives, and help optimise our materials supply chain to support both our current production needs and future expansion.
Working closely with our R&D teams you will also ensure successful delivery of our NPD/EPD projects.
This role reports into our Head of Procurement and is based onsite 3 days per week at our Innovation Centre in Aylesbury.
(Hybrid 3 days onsite, 2 days from home) What will you get involved in?
Purchase best quality Chemicals to ensure that the weekly production plans can be met Research and evaluate potential suppliers based on factors such as price, quality, and reliability Negotiate contracts with suppliers to obtain the best possible pricing, terms and ensure supply continuity Deliver agreed margin improvements and stockholding reductions Ensuring all Chemical purchases comply with internal CFI and Vegan requirements Work with R&D team to ensure successful delivery of all NPD/EPD projects Chemical Supplier approval, set-up and on-going management Escalates any issues with suppliers to ensure efficient and smooth resolutions and finding quick solutions Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulations related to chemical sourcing ERP product set-up and Bill of Materials approval What can you bring to the role?
Highly experienced in purchasing Chemicals for the cosmetics/manufacturing industry Strong negotiation and communication skills Experience of working with ERP systems (e.g.
