The Position We are currently seeking passionate individuals who are keen to make the Kia Oval a more accessible venue.
We believe the game should be enjoyed by everyone and we are looking for a person who believes this too.
This means going above and beyond to make sure that happens.
Requirements What you'll do?
Liaise and work closely with the Accessibility Liaison Officer and Volunteers.
Facilitate the safe entry into the venue for all supporters with accessibility needs.
Be always available during the event to assist fans with accessible needs and respond quickly to any requests for assistance.
Have a caring and compassionate approach to fans with any accessibility needs placing their safety, wellbeing, and enjoyment of the event at the heart of everything you do.
Deal appropriately and in confidence with personal sensitive information regarding supporters who are in your care.
Remain calm, displaying a high level of patience in challenging circumstances.
Assist fans and guests around the venue, to their seats and to the quiet/sensory rooms.
Ensure accessible seats are available to those who need them.
Once seated, check on fans in these areas to ensure they have everything they need.  Direct fans and guests to accessible toilets, ensuring responsibility for radar keys and returning them to the Accessibility Liaison Officer at the end of the match.
Return wheelchairs to each reception areas when applicable.       Assist with matchday setup, including setting up equipment in sensory and quiet rooms, and inspecting other functional areas (i.e.
accessible seats).
Assist in pre match checks and set ups.
  The Person The successful candidate will have the following experience / skills / qualities: We are looking for applicants with experience working in events or major stadium, preferably with some experience in customer service, accessibility and/or welfare.
Naturally be caring, patient, and calm at all times.
Great team player and communicator.
An understanding of safeguarding, the Equality Act 2010, and current Disability legislation (desirable).
Motivated by a passion for quality and great customer service delivery.
A "can-do", customer-focused, proactive attitude.
Communicate efficiently with Accessibility Officer throughout match days Reliable and self-motivated Works well under pressure and in high stress situations Commitment to working at least 80% of season fixtures   This role is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
This is a casual contract position, working variable hours for major matchdays held at The Kia Oval, across the week (including evenings and weekends).
Benefits £16.50- £19.80 per hour dependant on experience, excluding holiday pay.

There will then be a two staged interview process.
The first stage interviews will take place week commencing 3rd February, these will ideally be face to face.
