Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Master Scheduler/ Production Planner with a strong background in engineering change management to join our team. You will be a key member of the Manufacturing Operations and Supply Chain organisation responsible for manufacturing material planning, scheduling, capacity planning and coordinating the delivery of products to the customer's requested dates. You will work closely with Project/Contract Management, Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering and Quality to ensure that material and labour are available to meet demand.
You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive production schedules while effectively managing the impact of engineering changes on the production process. This role requires a strong understanding of production planning, scheduling software, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Your Team
This is an independent role with no direct reports; however, you will collaborate closely with various departments across the organization (Project/Contract Management, Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering and Quality). You will report directly to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities
Coordinate with project/contract management, value stream leaders, engineering, and material buyers to develop and execute production schedules to meet planned delivery dates, optimise resource utilisation, and minimise lead times.
Collaborate with Project/Contract management & Production to develop a consensus forecast and proactively work with Material Manager on material shortages, engineering issues impacting production, capacity constraints or quality issues to avoid delays.
Monitor and analyse production performance, identify bottlenecks and work with Value Stream Leaders to implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and prevent deviations from plan.
Collaborate with project management, operations, and engineering teams to ensure alignment of production plans with business objectives.
Implement and maintain advanced scheduling systems and tools.
Generate accurate and timely reports on production performance, capacity utilisation, and delivery metrics.
Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to resolve scheduling challenges and improve processes.
Coordinate engineering change orders (ECOs), assessing their impact on production schedules and steer necessary adjustments to minimise disruptions to production.
Collaborate with engineering to understand the scope and implications of ECOs.
Communicate change impacts to relevant stakeholders and coordinate implementation plans.
Qualifications
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related degree (additional experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree).
Previous experience in manufacturing/assembly scheduling, project management and a supply chain-related position. 1-3+ years of experience is ideal
Certification in APICS or other relevant supply chain management certifications is desirable.
Skills & Experience
Experience in coordinating engineering change orders and their impact on production.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and detail-oriented aptitude; a high degree of accuracy is required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Detail-oriented and organised.
A strong knowledge of an advanced ERP system.
Proficiency in advanced scheduling software (e.g., SAP APO, Oracle, etc.) is advantageous.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
Good judgment and ability to prioritise work.
Ability to learn new tasks quickly and work with minimal direction.
