The role is working on a Fixed Term Maternity Cover contract for 9 months, with the potential to become permanent after the initial contract.
The role will be starting in early February 2025.
This is very much an operational marketing manager position rather than creative, and you will oversee the marketing team's performance to ensure departmental goals align with strategy and budget targets.
You'll also manage multiple campaigns, build effective relationships with stakeholders and third-party providers, and demonstrate measurable returns on investment.
This position will be ideal for someone who is highly proactive, able to anticipate actions in advance, is super organised and a very effective leader, who is adept at communicating at all levels across the business.
Key Responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders to shape the marketing strategy, focusing on positioning, target audiences, and priority products in line with business objectives Monitor and manage the marketing budget, ensuring spend demonstrates a return on investment.
Oversee key projects, including new website production, working with agencies and team resources as needed.
Ensure consistency and compliance across Group website updates and related marketing materials.
Organise daily, weekly, and monthly tasks for the team to meet deadlines and objectives.
Supervise the Personal Assistant, assisting with event organisation and supporting the Managing Director as needed.
Guide the team in planning and executing monthly campaigns according to strategy and sales cycles.
Support the team in tracking campaign effectiveness, compiling reports, and sharing findings with senior management.
Review and approve all marketing content, ensuring brand consistency and attention to detail.
Optimise use of marketing software and third-party tools.
Analyse customer insights, market trends, and best practices, adhering to regulations like GDPR.
Conduct recruitment, training, mentoring, and appraisals in line with company policies.
Perform any other duties required to support departmental objectives.
Essential Qualifications & Skills Proven experience in a similar role, with a track record in marketing strategy, planning, and campaign execution.
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in marketing, business, or a related field.
Experience managing a team and budget.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to build effective stakeholder relationships and handle challenges.
Excellent project management, proactive problem-solving, and initiative.
High attention to detail, with experience in final sign-off on marketing content and activities.
Proficient in digital and traditional marketing, including tools like Adobe Creative Suite, GA4, website CMS, and automation platforms.
Strategic mindset with a metrics-driven approach and creative eye.
Desirable Skills Experience supporting business functions like event organisation.
Experience coordinating marketing across multiple brands, audiences, and products.
Knowledge of the construction industry and building materials.
Willingness to travel occasionally to other offices.
