It's actually very impressive.
The products are really strong, hence the popularity compared to other 'competitors' in an industry worth up to an estimated £5 billion.
There's a lot of opportunity here and in this role...
The business is at a really nice crossroads, where it's established enough to really start to think about how they communicate with their customers, and how they guide and help them towards ideal specified products... which are typically bespoke made for each project.
The business operates in the construction space, or at least the products are built and tailored to supply into major contract builds.
It'd be really ideal to have some form of background within a similar construction or manufactured product if possible, but we're open to considering people coming from a tangible B2B products background also.
The role will hit all those spots which you'd expect when stepping into marketing for the first time: Marketing and Comms strategy - full build External comms and customer campaigns Digital marketing planning, website evaluation, content, SEO optimisation (basics) An entirely new social media plan - Measurable marketing, inclusive of organic search and email marketing tactics Events and tradeshows B2B and B2B2C marketing - and the ability to tailor specific approaches to onboard and guide new customers through marketing comms.
Creation of brand tone and guidelines Implementation of all of the above So, if you've got this far down the ad, chances are you've got anywhere from about three years in B2B marketing plus... and you'll be comfortable working as a bit of a 'lone wolf' in the marketing function, but with good support from an administrative perspective.
The business is very supportive, and whilst they don't have a huge marketing capability currently, you'll have access to a good budget and very strong market position to leverage.
The role will require a self-starter, someone able to really 'own marketing' and justify it's spend and worth using data, facts and figures.... whilst working closely with the commercial function to optimise gains and leads for sales conversion.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the office locations, the typical candidate will spend two or three days at home, with a couple of days in either Stoke or Hadleigh, and then do the other location the following week... as an example.
Travel to the offices is covered by the business, but there will be some travelling involved, so please do take the into consideration when applying.
