In this pivotal role, you'll drive revenue growth in a fast-paced environment by cultivating lasting client relationships, with a focus on advising and guiding small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) towards success through our Zettle and PayPal inovative solutions.

Meet The Team
Our field-based team of Zettle by PayPal Business Development Managers partners with SMB merchants, offering a consultative sales approach within the omni-channel space. Leveraging existing connections and knowledge of both payments and SaaS, they win and onboard Instore-First Net New Merchants to the PayPal platform.

As a champion for SMBs and our organization, you'll demonstrate deep knowledge and passion for your local geography, understanding the challenges of small businesses and providing solutions to help them succeed.
Your Day-to-Day
Stimulate demand for PayPal products and services across the London territory by increasing awareness and credibility within small business communities.
Manage a hybrid field-based role, targeting, qualifying, and closing SMB single & multi-site operators.
Build an extensive network through identification and activation of local partnerships, as well as maintaining relationships with existing customers to drive further sales.
Take end-to-end responsibility for key account acquisition, including identifying strategic new business opportunities within a specific segment/geographical focus.
Achieve monthly Revenue Targets and OKR's aligned with overall company objectives.
Actively sell a defined portfolio of Zettle/PayPal products to new SMB & Mid-Market customers.
Develop a pipeline of prospective new customers, including self-sourced leads, referrals from new and existing partners, and 'connectors' within a defined London-based territory.
Forecast monthly sales in line with revenue targets, productivity metrics, and achieving monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
Manage and support merchants through the full sales cycle, from early engagement and discovery to negotiation, contracting, implementation, and go-live.
Demonstrate a strong ability to close deals while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Utilize Salesforce for pipeline management and reporting.
Cultivate strong working relationships with internal PayPal teams (Finance, Pricing, Compliance, Legal, Marketing, Product, Risk, and Integration) to facilitate efficient interaction between PayPal, the merchant, and its end-users.
Develop broad professional knowledge of the payments industry sector and illustrate benefits to the merchant through a consultative selling approach.
What You Need to Bring
A self-driven and dedicated mindset to drive revenue growth in a fast-paced sales environment while fostering long-term client relationships.
A proven track record of overperformance in a sales role, preferably within payments or SaaS.
Customer-centricity is at your core; you prioritize your customers and cultivate a strong network.
Results-oriented with a focus on hitting sales targets, self-prospecting, pipeline management, and forecasting.
Ability to maintain momentum and focus throughout short, medium, and long sales cycles.
Proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce.
Experience working in a target-driven environment.
