£55,000 - £60,000 per annum Portsmouth Full Time About the Role Our client is seeking a highly motivated Marine Paint Manager to oversee their clients' marine coatings project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the application of marine paints and coatings on various vessels, ensuring that all projects meet the highest quality and safety standards.
This role will involve coordinating teams, liaising with clients, and managing project timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise marine coating teams to ensure high-quality application processes.
Oversee the preparation, application, and inspection of marine coatings on various vessels.
Develop and manage project timelines, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Maintain and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards on all job sites.
Collaborate with suppliers, clients, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
Conduct quality inspections and ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
Keep up to date with new products, technologies, and methods in marine coatings.
Skills and Qualifications Proven experience in marine coatings application and management.
Knowledge of marine paint systems, surface preparation, and application techniques.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong organisational and time management abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client and team liaison.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations within the marine industry.
Familiarity of Warpaints and BR3939.
Basic level of IT skills, Excel, Word etc.
Preferred Qualifications Certifications in marine coatings or industrial painting (e.g., Train the Painter or equivalent).
Knowledge of marine standards.
Experience with budget management and project costing.
