Job Description: The role of the Manufacturing Engineering Technician is to support Manufacturing Engineering, learn Production and Assembly processes and work with Production support teams on process developments.
The role will also involve supporting the business on a day-to-day basis through technical problem-solving techniques in a team environment with guidance from other members of the Manufacturing Engineering team.
In this role, you will support the business in delivering to customers such as Rolls Royce, MBDA, Safran, NASA and Thales.
Key Responsibilities: Aid with technical problem solving through production & assembly Assist with Master Data creation & maintenance Production instruction creation & maintenance Design and order tooling & work holding Creation & maintenance of SOPs Team working on 8D and CAPA Take part in Setup reduction workshops Take part in Cycle time optimisation exercises Participation in production, scrap & project meetings as required Carry out other tasks or assignments linked to this position as directed by the Manufacturing Engineers or direct Line Manager.
Education: Knowledge and Skills: Minimum of UK level 3 qualification preferred, other qualifications will be considered depending on experience.
Communication, verbal and written.
Good English and Mathematics.
Exposure to CAD, tooling & work holding design, desirable.
