In addition, you will collaborate with internal and external teams to identify and implement cutting-edge manufacturing technologies and automation solutions that enhance factory capabilities and capacity.
YOUR IMPACT Evaluate quality control processes and recommend improvements.
Analyse production data and provide reports to assist management in decision-making.
Ensure compliance with company requirements.
Review labour, material, and production costs.
Optimise workflow, equipment placement, and space utilisation.
Coordinate and manage manufacturing line updates.
Exploring and implementing new ways to automate existing production lines.
Conduct research, development, and deployment of manufacturing automation technology into global manufacturing facilities.
Support digital manufacturing initiatives by leading proof of concept (POC) studies and scale them to production levels.
Support the development, implementation, and operation of Industry 4.0 and IIoT initiatives Collaborate with other manufacturing departments such as quality, materials, EHS, and facilities to provide innovative solutions Apply project management skills (schedule, cost, communications) and coordination of internal and external resources to execute projects in a timely and cost-effective manner Solid understanding of data connectivity, within the manufacturing environment Collaborate with other business segments and report status to the Global Ops Team Designing and testing automation equipment and processes MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, computer science or similar field 3+ years' experience in manufacturing engineering Experience of industrial automation, controls, manufacturing engineering or related role.
Sometime spend in a design/DFM role Lean Practitioner and/or 6 Sigma Black Belt STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS Experience with Factory 4.0 and IIOT applications and integration of AI systems through PLC's Strong problem-solving and self-starter skills Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Creative thinking skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical skills Understanding and functional knowledge of PLC's, low voltage controls, vision systems.
