Responsibilities Develop and design automation solutions, including robotic systems, for the production, test and assembly of aerospace components and structures. Identify areas for automation within manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance product quality. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with automation systems, providing solutions for repair, reprogramming, or upgrading equipment. Ensure requirement compliance with industry standards and regulations, particularly regarding safety and quality control. Support the NPI team on design for automation, optimising best method of manufacturing. Develop an inspection strategy for vision and sensor inspection technology. DFMA, tolerance, design optimisation and value engineering Experience Required Robot, external axes and PLC integration experience over 3 years. Robot programming language at advanced level such as RAPID. Force control integration and programming experience. Electrical wiring and robot circuit integration experience. Problem Solving & Creativity Managing Projects Desired Qualifications & Skills Robot programming language such as RAPID Experience working with Solidworks, TIA Portal and Robot Studio. Robot studio and automation simulation. PLC programming. Assembly and automation simulation.
