The Role: Manufacturing Engineer Overall, the role is to support production and improve processes and procedures.
You will work closely with the shop floor team to learn what they do, and how they do it, and it'll be down to you to come up with ways to improve the operation.
They are making bespoke and customised products each time, so it's very much cell-based assembly as opposed to automated machinery.
Responsibilities include: - Creating BoMs, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Supporting NPI to make sure layouts are optimised and tooling is correct.
- Document control.
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process.
The Candidate: Manufacturing Engineer The ideal candidate will be organised, logical and comfortable using ERP/MRP and different computer systems.
They will also have previous experience in a mechanical manufacturing environment, understanding DfM and DfA, with knowledge of lean manufacturing tools.
