Experienced Electrician working a day shift pattern required for manufacturing company based in the northern part of Plymouth, the company has an excellent reputation in the city as an employer of choice.
The successful applicant will initially be heavily involved in fixed wire EICR remedial work and facilities maintenance across the site but will also support the wider maintenance team in project based work such as new machine installations, reactive maintenance, PPM / TPM, fault finding on production machinery etc.
Key Responsibilities will include: Identify and diagnose issues in fixed wiring systems based on findings from Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs).
Carry out necessary remedial work to rectify faults, defects, or non-compliances identified during EICRs.
Conduct tests and verification procedures post-remediation to confirm satisfactory repairs.
Perform thorough inspections of electrical installations to ensure compliance with current regulations and standards.
Conduct various tests on electrical systems (low voltage) to identify faults and verify the safety and functionality of installations.
Offer recommendations for necessary repairs, upgrades, or modifications to maintain safety and compliance.
Keep up to date with the latest changes in electrical regulations and standards to ensure ongoing compliance and best practices.
Support the Maintenance Engineering team in the installation and commissioning of new production lines, machines, and equipment as and when required.
Essential Experience / Qualifications and Attributes Required: C&G 18 th edition (BS 7671) Recognised Apprenticeship within Electrical Installation coupled with relevant experience as an Electrician or Electrical Engineer.
Test & Inspection 2391/2 or 2394/5.
Strong Testing / Inspection and fault-finding skills.
Domestic wiring experience (low voltage).
Highly desirable: Working at height MEWP licence.
PASMA trained.
Harness trained.
Experience fault finding and carrying out reactive maintenance on Production machinery within a manufacturing environment.
The package: Starting salary up to £40K.

Attractive day shift pattern of Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 16:00 and Fridays 07:00 to 11:50 (half day Friday afternoon).
