Manufacturing Cell Leader Location: Heliex Power HQ, East Kilbride

We're looking for a proactive individual with mechanical assembly/fitting experience and leadership capabilities who is ready to drive operational excellence in our Assembly and Test team.

The Role The Manufacturing Cell Leader will oversee day-to-day activities in the Assembly and Test area, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and delivery standards.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will initially take a hands-on approach, focusing on mechanical fitting and assembly of Heliex Power's innovative generator sets.
As the team grows, the role will transition to a more supervisory position, focusing on leading and developing a skilled team.

Key responsibilities include:
Planning and managing day-to-day production activities to meet deadlines.
Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and process standards.
Producing weekly/monthly reports on KPIs and resource forecasts.
Driving productivity improvements through Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Reducing costs associated with poor quality and improving on-time delivery.
Managing and developing training programs to optimize team flexibility.
Providing technical support to Field Service teams and external customers when needed.
Supporting a culture of collaboration, openness, and integrity.
The Person We are looking for an experienced professional with the following skills and qualifications:
HND/HNC in mechanical/electrical engineering (or similar), with significant experience.
Extensive hands-on experience in a manufacturing and test environment, ideally working with rotating equipment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Understanding of quality and business systems, engineering drawings, and health and safety practices.
Proven leadership abilities, with experience developing and managing small teams .
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
