We are seeking a candidate to lead, direct, and oversee the activities of our UK business unit (production and sales) to ensure the achievement of both short- and long-term financial and operational goals, as outlined in the overall corporate and local business plans.
Key Responsibilities · Establish an overall vision and strategy, and approve policies and procedures for the UK business unit, that fulfills the overall corporate objectives.
· Set, and monitor the performance of the UK business unit against standards and targets in areas such as manufacturing and administration efficiency, cost control, sales revenue, legal compliance, and human resource management.
· Under the guidance of Group functions (Finance, Operations, Sales & Marketing, R&D and HR) realize developmental and numeric targets.
· Lead, guide, evaluate, and develop a team to ensure that the UK business unit achieves its business objectives and complies with all relevant regulations and laws.
· Spend considerable time with key customers to understand the future needs and to develop the company operations accordingly.
· Lead development of sales strategy.
· Review and advise on pricing policy, products mix, and brand portfolio.
· Review and monitor sales process performance continually.
· Develop marketing strategy, and monitor implementation.
· Review product portfolio, product strategies, and positioning according to customer and market needs.
Knowledge, skills & experience · · Establish an overall vision and strategy, and approve policies and procedures for the country/local business unit, that fulfills the overall corporate objectives.
· Proven track record of leading an organization.
· Strong commercial and operational expertise.
· Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
· Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a Business degree (preferably with an MBA), with a strong technical understanding required.
· Significant experience in the construction materials industry, with a strong preference for knowledge of the UK market and construction standards.
Additional relevant experience includes precast production management, structural design, and construction site management.
