We are recruiting for a Managing Associate to join our Real Estate Future Energy team, to be based in Bristol.
However, we are also very open to hearing from individuals based in Manchester, Birmingham, Belfast, Glasgow or Edinburgh.
Maria Connolly leads the team and heads the Real Estate Group; she continues to be the energy behind our success in driving forward our strategy of developing the services we offer to clients in the renewables sector and tailoring those services to meet our clients' business objectives.
Maria has recently been awarded with Bristol Law Society's "Lawyer of the Year" award and is named as a Leading Individual in the Legal 500.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven Real Estate Lawyer to join our Legal 500 tier 1 ranked team and develop a specialism within one of the most exciting and topical sectors in the legal profession and beyond.
Your RoleDealing with drafting option agreements and leases on a wide range of clean energy projects (including wind, solar, battery storage, electric vehicles, and hydro).Undertaking due diligence on these projects to include a review of title, enquiries, and searches.Acting in relation to the financing of clean energy projects and large-scale acquisitions/disposals which will involve working with individuals in our corporate, banking, construction, planning and regulatory disciplines.There will be plenty of opportunity for client contact, running own files and early responsibility for delivery of transactions.Providing support in relation to other aspects of work undertaken in the team including landlord and tenant work, corporate support, and public sector work.Supervising and mentoring junior team members.Providing all our clients with a quality service in accordance with the Firm's procedures.Maintaining and improving relations with existing clients and spotting opportunities for business development and enhancement of the current services we offer.Achieving the budget and targets set by the Firm.Your Skills and ExperienceYou will be/have:
A Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales SRA), with at least 6 years of post-qualification experience within Real Estate.
You will have proven experience of working with clients in the future energy sector.
Dual qualification in Scotland and/or Northern Ireland is desirable, but not essential.A proven track record in business development and maintaining strong client relationships.Experience of supervising and/or managing Associates and/or Paralegals.Able to demonstrate first class communication skills with the ability and confidence to engage with clients and colleagues at all levels.Able to confidently provide strategic advice to a variety of TLT clients.An active, senior member of the team at TLT, with the commitment to developing the firm's offering locally and nationally.About TLTFast paced, fast growing and forward thinking, TLT is the law firm that helps clients stay one step ahead, and we do the same for our people.
