The Role To lead and manage a team carrying out international reporting, funding calculations and (where applicable) financial statements.
Principal Accountabilities Lead a team carrying out international reporting, funding calculations and (where applicable) financial statements in more complex territories requiring accounting and/or actuarial judgment. Act as a technical accounting expert for the wider International Finance Team, with sufficient understanding of actuarial principles to act as a key liaison with the International Reserving Team. Assist the senior team with negotiations with regulators with specific reference to: the content, preparation and submission of regulatory returns
financial statements (where applicable)
funding requirements for regulatory deposits
Provide first line support to Managing Agents in meeting their reporting and international funding requirements. Review the reporting process regularly to identify any changes required due to changes in reporting requirements and to improve the reporting process overall. Develop controls procedures and documentation. Ensure data and information is obtained, stored and managed effectively. Ensure key person exposure is managed effectively. Assist with project work in relation to the above as required. Skills Strong technical accounting skills, qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent). Ability to work with complex information requiring significant accounting judgment. Management skills. Meet deadlines. Prioritise. Able to make decisions and understand implications. Understand and demonstrate adherence to Lloyd's values. Knowledge Strong knowledge of Excel.
