The Role To ensure an efficient and effective support service by providing a comprehensive confidential secretarial and administrative service across the whole range of the Management Team remit.

What we'll need you to bring Professional qualification i.e.
HNC in a relevant discipline (Business Admin/Secretarial Studies/Public Administration) or equivalent previous experience in a secretarial role Well-developed interpersonal skills in customer care.
Excellent communication skills.
Good organisational and planning skills.
Understanding of a range of procedures and processes.
Ability to prioritise work and work on own initiative whilst under pressure.
Proficient I.T.
skills, which include a working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
Ensuring confidentiality, diplomacy and discretion are maintained at all times.
It would be great if you also have SVQ/RSA3/HNC in Secretarial Studies or equivalent Demonstrable experience in a secretarial role within the NHS Working knowledge of SSTS/Staff bank system Working knowledge of collecting/collating and processing statistics to deadline Possess excellent I.T.
skills (to include database) and time management skills Good presentation skills Positive approach to change/flexibility Good team player Supervisory Experience Contract type Permanent Part Time 18.60 hours Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.

From 1 April 2024, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change workers in Scotland will be reduced.
Full-time hours will reduce from 37.5 to 37 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.
NHS Lanarkshire will implement this change but it may not be possible to fully transition from 1 April and there may therefore be some areas of the organisation where implementation may take longer.
If the department is currently unable to safely accommodate the reduced hours from 1st April, you may be required to work 37.5 hours per week until the department can meet the requirements without impacting patient safety - you will, of course, be remunerated accordingly.
NHS Lanarkshire is committed to full implementation of the 37 hour working week across all areas as soon as it is safe to do so.
