Capgemini is currently a Strategic partner for UK Defence and the Ministry of Defence (MOD), helping deliver the largest and most complex Digital Transformation programmes.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Training Lead to oversee and manage the development and delivery of training programmes to our Defence clients.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of designing and delivering training within Defence in line with the Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) and Joint Service Publication (JSP) 822.
In this role you will play a key role in: Leading the development and implementation of training systems and offering to Defence end users.
To do this, an understanding and experience in MOD training policy is essential.
This includes the DSAT as per JSP 822.Designing training solutions to meet the needs of end users across tri-service environments (Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force).Leading engagements with clients and end users in support of training development and delivery.Developing and maintaining detailed reporting structures to feed into the wider project governance framework, including progress reports, training plan coherence with project schedule, identification and mitigation of risks in training delivery.As part of your role, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.Internal Contribution – Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.Learning & Development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.Your Profile:The successful candidate will have a military (Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force or Civil Service) background, with an inherent understanding of extant MOD processes which govern delivery of major training programmes.

We'd love to meet someone with: Experience in delivering successful change within the MOD with a maintained network of positive relationships with key decision-makers.An understanding of MOD Logistics and Engineering process & Information Systems.Experience of design training solutions using SAP Enable Now.A proven ability to be successful in a matrix organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.Up-to-date knowledge of Public Sector trends and issues and a recognised subject matter expert in your focus area(s) for delivery.The following skills/experiences would be nice to have:Experience working in a major Consulting firm, and/or Industry.Experience in creating new propositions, translating these into consulting contracts, agreeing them with clients and seeing them through to delivery.Business development, utilising a combination of the organisation's broader pre-existing relationships, company relationships and your own network.What you'll love about working here:Our Defence subsector is fast growing, which translates to abundant opportunities to shape the subsector positively for the future.
