Background The role is a pivotal part of the Commercial and International team based in our Stephen Street Office, London.
The team is responsible for the accounting of the Digital and IP function.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Management Accountant is a key member of the team, assisting in ensuring the timely completion of the day-to-day activities.
This will include: Key Responsibilities: Oversee the end-to-end processing for Central IP Revenue.
This includes ensuring declarations received and entered in Fremantle systems are in line with contractual agreements, policy and deadlines.
Maintaing control tables in SAP to allow production territories to complete their declarations via a SAP Fiori App Oversee the end-to-end process for Re-transmission Revenue received in relation to all territories globally.
Authorisation of deals in internal rights management system; reviewing and checking that supporting documentation agrees to the system; working with the Royalties team to ensure the accuracy and agreement to contractual terms for the format owners share.
Contributing towards ensuring the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of all related transactions, balances, monthly closings and reporting in the form, but not limited to reconciliations.
Review and present monthly Actual vs prior year variances by using systems and excel to analyse and validate.
Co-ordination and preparation of budgets and forecasts in relation to the inter-divisional royalty revenue.
Assisting local and overseas territories with any queries that may arise surround declarations.
Assisting Group Reporting and the General Ledger teams with any queries surround closing and month end.
Liaising with the Legal team and Royalties team with queries to ensure accuracy and agreement to the contractual terms within the format licensing agreements.
Provide reporting to all regional Fremantle companies that are owners of IP.
Create WBS (costs) codes for contracts in our bespoke DPS system and requesting them in SAP.
Provide ad hoc business and variance analysis as requested by the Finance Manager or other parts of the business.
Ensure efficiency of process and pro-actively identifying opportunities for process improvement and commercial enhancement Essential Skills and Experience: The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a finance function of a mid-sized corporation.
Preferably the candidate will have experience in inter-company transactions and is used to working in a controls-based environment.
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following key competencies: Self-starter who can equally thrive in an environment where they need to take the initiative and initiate change, or take instruction from the Finance Manager Ability to drive tasks / projects through to completion.
