Management Accountant

Management Accountant | Medway | £40k Our client, an established, growing and fast paced business is seeking to appoint a driven Management Accountant to their busy finance team of 10 people, based full time in their Gillingham office.
The business started in 2009 and as of 2019 it has been a private equity backed business with more acquisitions planned.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly management accountants to group deadlines.
Completion of variance analysis and commentary versus budget for overheads.
Assist the FC with commentary to support the financial result.
Prepare the quarterly VAT returns for Senseco & FSHL.
Supporting the external Audit process, fulfilling auditor queries.
Identifying areas for development within financial reporting across the business.
Support and contribute to improvements within the department.
Balance sheet reconciliations monthly.
Responsible for the maintenance of the chart of accounts, including ensuring a consistent approach to new nominal codes.
Provide accurate, timely and relevant information to support business information needs as required.
Ad hoc duties when required.
Skill Requirements: Qualified or newly qualified accountant.
Advanced Excel.
Experience with Sage.
Multi-site or service industry background.
Ability to work with high volumes of data.
Organisational and time management to meet deadlines.
