We're a fast-growing business, and as our Management Accountant in the Water Division, you'll be vital in ensuring accurate revenue recognition and financial reporting.
In this role, you'll work closely with Customer Service and Operations teams, investigating revenue discrepancies, analyzing monthly variances, and reporting to senior finance leaders.
Your attention to detail, Excel skills, and experience in handling large data sets will help you thrive in this complex, fast-paced environment, while meeting strict reporting deadlines.
Requirements Demonstrate having attention to detail and ability to discuss variances sufficiently and promptly with other members of the business.
Take ownership of their allocated entity and subsequent reporting within the deadlines set, whilst being supported by the Senior Management Accountant.
Ensuring that information provided to the Business Line Financial Controllers (BLFC) and Head of Management Accounts is accurate and any variances justified.
Previous management accounts preparation involvement, alongside demonstrable experience of transforming large volume data sets into workable and meaningful information.
Capability to thrive in a matrix organisation and finance structure and work to tight reporting deadlines.
Responsibilities Revenue Accounting & Analysis: Validate CRM revenue data, ensuring accuracy across entities.
Analyse monthly revenue, accruals, deferrals, and variances.
Provide Excel support for forecasting and detailed revenue reports.
Complete accrued income reports and credit note analysis.
Support Group reporting with balance sheet and trend insights.
Calculate and verify supplier rebates with Operations.
Management Accounts: Update balance sheets and own monthly management accounts.
Review P&L, explain variances, and coordinate with finance teams.
Ensure timely, accurate reporting and reconciliations.
Additional Support: Prepare year-end audit packs and support statutory reporting.
Aid in budgeting, process improvements, and ad hoc tasks.
Key Skills / Qualifications Excel skills at advanced level Strong organisational and analytical skills Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA) with 2 years management accounts experience gained in industry.
Questions and where appropriate challenges the status quo to ensure continuous improvement.
Able to demonstrate flexibility by adapting work in line with changing priorities.
Demonstrates team workings and willingness to help others.
