Management Accountant, Arts Museum, Central London, £45k-£50k Join the Finance Team at a renowned arts museum and play a pivotal role in supporting one of the UK's most respected institutions in the arts and cultural sector.
Based in London, this role offers the opportunity to help shape and sustain the museum's financial strategy, providing essential support to enhance its artistic and cultural impact.
About the Role In this key position, you will support financial strategy, reporting, and decision-making processes to enable informed, strategic decisions at all levels of the museum.
Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant.
Key Responsibilities Generate and manage routine financial reports using the Unit 4 financial system and other reporting tools.
Provide training and support to enhance financial management practices across the organisation.
Supply financial insights to directors, budget holders, and project managers.
Lead the annual budget planning process for executive approval.
Monitor and assess financial performance, ensuring resources are used efficiently and effectively.
Respond to data requests from government bodies, funders, and other external entities.
Contribute financial input to forward planning and future projections.
Conduct ad hoc financial analyses, business cases, and project evaluations.
Track and report on key performance indicators and benchmarking data.
Ensure financial systems deliver accurate and timely information.
Who We're Looking For An accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) Proven experience in management accounts, including budgeting and monitoring in a complex environment.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial colleagues.
Analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experience with financial reporting software.
