Management Accountant

Position: Management Accountant Location: Nottingham Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm (Part-time options available, minimum 3 days) Salary: £40,000k Harper Recruitment Group has an exciting opportunity to join a reputable client in Derby.
This role is pivotal within the finance team, reporting directly to the Director of Finance & Operations with financial management including the preparation of management accounts.
Key Responsibilities * Prepare financial statements, budgets, cash flows, and monthly reports * Support budget planning, forecasting, and tracking * Handle VAT registration, returns, and fee management * Oversee cash flow, forecasting, and fees-in-advance schemes * Optimise accounting processes and maintain digital records * Collaborate with budget holders, auditors, and assist in statutory accounts * Support the Director of Finance with audits and delegated tasks * Manage administrative tasks like invoice processing and purchase orders Skills and Experience: * Excellent knowledge of VAT processes is essential * ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified * Ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to evolving business needs * Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management * Experience of preparing management accounts, budget and cash flow forecasting This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Management Accountant to join a dynamic team in a supportive environment.
