Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant within the NEECS Division mainly supporting the Community service.

Main duties of the job The Management Accountant has responsibility for day to day management of the Divisional budget portfolio within the management accounts section.
Responsible for all budget preparation, adherence to budgetary control systems and production of cost and performance management statements and reports relating to the budget portfolio.To support the Deputy Finance Manager regarding the on-going development and maintenance of budgetary financial systems and proceduresTo support the Finance Manager to ensure financial management statutory returns and information are completed correctly and to deadlines.To provide adhoc training and education to finance and non-finance staff as required About us We are ESNEFT and we provide hospital and community health services to almost one million people across east Suffolk and north Essex.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Educated to GCSE or A Level (incl GCSE Maths and English) or equivalent Fully qualified AAT or equivalent experience Experience Essential Management accounts experience Use of computerised systems Knowledge and Skills Essential Detailed understanding of accounting procedures Working knowledge of current NHS Trust financial regime Knowledge of current NHS Trust performance targets IT skills, particularly with Excel and finance ledger system(s) Relevant experience to understand coding structures Strong communication skills both written and verbal Desirable Good knowledge of budgetary control in the NHS NHS IT systems
