Job summary This role will be to undertake Mammography as aSpeciality within the Breast Unit, and work as part of a Multidisciplinary teamYou will conduct diagnostic mammographic examinations, producing high quality diagnostic images: upon a range of patient typesboth as an autonomous mammographic practitioner and as part of a multi-professional teamin a manner that meets professional, departmental & legal standards and be responsible for a high standard of patient care to include a diverse range of patients along with independently assessing each patient and adapt radiographic techniques according to their needs whilst using professional discretion and experience to ensure that best clinical practice is maintained.

Job description Job responsibilities Please see attached Job Description and person specification for extensive details of what this role involves Person Specification Qualifications Essential Certificate in Mammography or post graduate award in mammography practice DCR , or BSc in Radiography, or equivalent HPC Registration and Evidence of CPD Desirable Mentor qualification Knowledge & Experience Essential Expert knowledge of breast imaging techniques through post graduate study and clinical experience Use of clinical experience to allow interpretation of images, so enabling appropriate referral and to ensure urgent findings are communicated appropriately Ability to adapt radiographic technique to deal with/encompass a wide range of patient ages and conditions, including those patients who are un co-operative or those with physical/mental disabilities Desirable Teaching experience
