Location: Peterborough, UK
Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Commercial/Labour) (12 month contract)
Job Summary: Are you a skilled professional with expertise in maintaining and repairing machines, mechanical equipment, or building structures?
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team and utilise their broad skill set across multiple maintenance and craft disciplines to ensure our establishment runs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
Assign and supervise staff in repairing or replacing defective equipment parts using hand and power tools, and oversee the reassembly of equipment.
Conduct and monitor routine preventive maintenance to ensure smooth machine operation, efficient building systems, and the upkeep of physical structures.
Inspect and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions and assign appropriate corrective measures.
Evaluate maintenance or repair work, including types and costs, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
Oversee dismantling and reassembly of devices using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools to remove defective parts.
Analyse mechanical problems and assign staff to resolve them, referencing blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as needed.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong creativity, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Team-oriented with a keen eye for detail.
Proven leadership and mentoring skills to provide guidance and constructive feedback.
In-depth knowledge of machines, tools, and maintenance techniques.
Expertise in raw materials, production processes, quality control, and cost management.
Solid understanding of engineering principles and practical applications.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required.
