Maintenance Plant and Equipment Fitter ( £15-18.50 per hr depending on experience with overtime available) is needed to join a company in the construction industry.
Our client needs an experienced Maintenance and Plant Fitter to join their team in the Peterborough area to undertake scheduled and breakdown maintenance of plant and equipment.
This is a role for an enthusiastic Maintenance Plant and Equipment Fitter, taking responsibility for: Routine servicing of company equipment including heavy plant, forklift and stone sawing equipment Inspect and repair on company equipment including heavy plant, forklift and stone sawing equipment Control and book all vehicle MOTs and all legal equipment checks Control, produce and complete all preventive maintenance checks and programs on equipment with servicing patterns Control and order all spares, lubricants and equipment required to support the company operation Maintenance of all servicing records all documentation for plant, equipment, and vehicles Re-act and support all equipment defects and equipment failures when requested Control and complete all site maintenance requirements including legal responsibilities (Electrical, lighting and Fire) Control of all contractors in conjunction with the General Manager for site support Housekeeping of maintenance workshop and associated areas Support routine maintenance of company vehicles You must be qualified with a minimum of Level 2 NVQ certificate in Plant Operations, preferably also Level 3 NVQ certificate in Plant Maintenance.
If you have any electrical engineering experience, that would be a huge benefit although this is fundamentally a mechanical role.
You must also have the following attributes: Ability to work on your own as well as part of a small team Ability to self-manage your workload and to prioritise jobs Good understanding of engines and mechanics You will have heavy plant experience preferably in a quarry environment as well as experience of working outdoors in all weathers.
This is a full-time Monday to Friday role (core hours are 7.30am to 4pm) with some overtime available.
You must have a full clean UK driving licence with flexibility to travel across company sites, but you will be provided with access to a company van.
It would be an advantage if you have access to your own tools.
