We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Operative to join Empower Family Group!

To support our mission, we provide a range of services to children and young people, all of which offer nurturing, safe, caring, and homely environments where every child matters and in order to achieve this we must work together.
Main duties and responsibilities: · Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, decorating, window repair, PAT testing.
· Respond promptly to emergency repairs and breakdowns, minimizing disruption to daily operations.
· Oversee grounds maintenance, including landscaping/gardening, snow removal/gritting and minor repairs.
· Tiling and wall plaster repairs.
· Provide out-of-hours emergency repairs and/or advice when required.
· Perform routine safety checks and inspections of buildings and equipment.
· Order and manage maintenance supplies and materials within budget.
· Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed.
· Work collaboratively with staff and residents to ensure their needs are met.
· Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures.
To preserve the confidentiality of any information regarding colleagues, service users and their families and this obligation shall continue in perpetuity.
To recognise that promoting the welfare and safeguarding children, young people and adults is everyone's business and access training and supervision as appropriate to the role.
To ensure concerns are responded to appropriately in line with the Empower Family Group's Safeguarding and Child Protection Policies and interagency safeguarding procedures.
To comply with safer recruitment and other checks as requested by the company including undertaking where appropriate and applicable an Enhanced Disclosure via the DBS and registering with the online update service, if not already registered.
