Maintenance Manager

Maintenance Manager required for an expanding logistics site in Wisbech.
As the key member of engineering and maintenance team, you will have a varied role working on the planned maintenance schedule and responding to critical breakdowns keeping down time to a minimum while supporting the team with your technical knowledge and experience.
Working closely with the Operations and Engineering manager, you will be involved in the performance reviews of the wider automation & engineering team.
Our client is a leading European logistics & distribution company who have expanded into the UK and due to growing demand, they are looking to increase their site management team.
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious Engineer/ junior manager that is looking for the next step in their career who can confidently step up to become a member of the senior leadership team.
Key responsibilities for the Maintenance Manager: * With a focus on preventative maintenance, ensure routine maintenance is carried out on time to the required standard.
* Ensure fast response of technical team to breakdowns to limit downtime, taking ownership of issues.
* Machine downtime trend analysis.
* Strong Attention to detail.
* Manage service and repair of equipment on site whilst adhering to Health & Safety Guidelines.
* Mentoring of junior team members.
* Identify and implement opportunities for further automation.
* Support installation and factory testing of automation projects.
* Ensure projects are delivered to standard/schedule/budget.
* Travel to supplier sites for meetings, testing or commissioning support.
* Support engineering team with technical assistance.
* Attend weekly meetings with the project teams.
* Communicate effectively with customer, colleagues and management.
* Prepare weekly job analysis and project update reports.
Skills and Experience for this Maintenance Manager role: * Engineering Apprenticeship, HNC/ONC * Experience as a Team Leader/Manager * Ability to read technical Electrical and Mechanical drawings.
