Maintenance Fitter

Maintenance Fitter Our prestigious client, based in Shipdham, are looking for a Maintenance Fitter to join their well-established team.
This is a full time, permanent position, located in Shipdham near Dereham.
Working 47 hours per week , the working hours are: Monday Thursday 07:30 to 17:30 Friday 07:30 to 17:00 There is also a requirement to work at least two Saturdays out of four, from 06:00 to 13:00 Pay rates: First 40 hours: paid at your normal rate.
40+ hours: paid at time and a half Due to the Call Out element of this role, you must have a full UK driving Licence with access to a vehicle.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience: Welding experience using Mig and stick welding Responding to breakdowns, general maintenance of plant machinery etc.
Experience in the fabrication of metal work .
Nothing of complexity, mostly frame builds etc.
Metal sheet work i.e.
folding.
Able to replace bearings on machinery and other plant equipment.
Mechanically Bias.
Basic knowledge of plumbing and repairs.
Can erect scaffolding, ladder safety check experience, steam work and boiler work (desirable) Can work using own initiative.
The successful Fabricator will have to manage being on a standby call out and attend the site in Shipdham for call out during hours of 16:30 to 06:00.
There will be an additional payment for the on call element.
