Tamworth Double Days Shift Circa £44,000 Our client are a global market leader in plastics manufacturing, they have multiple UK sites and supply into well known brands for their plastic packaging.
They are seeking an electrically biased maintenance engineer to join their Tamworth site on a double day shift.
Key Responsibilities – Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) Routine servicing.
Attend breakdowns, identify fault and problem solve at the press with minimal downtime to aid production.
Complete work within required timescales.
Identify and escalate any activity that has the potential to cause harm or damage.
Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults and concerns to management.
Ensure all work is undertaken to a high-quality standard and adheres to all quality standard regulations.
Preventative and Reactive maintenance Maintain the highest standards of workmanship at all times.
Be actively involved in improvement activities to support the achievement of departmental and company objectives.
Ensure risk assessments are available, read and understood for each activity undertaken.
Work within 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) methodology to maintain workplace to a high standard Ensure all personal protective equipment is identified, always available, correctly used and all associated problems are reported to management.
Ensure all lost time, minor and trivial accidents are reported.
Promote environmental issues and ensure all company procedures are understood and followed.
Undertake continuous training and development.
Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
Qualifications & Experience – Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) Day to day roles and responsibilities will include planned and reactive maintenance on injection moulding machines, IML robots, pick and place robots, as well as daily maintenance on conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors, relays, inverters.
Ideally 3/5Yrs previous experience repairing and maintaining injection moulding machinery.
Apprentice trained up to NVQ L3, HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics or similar.
17th/18th Edition Electrical Regulations MEWP and forklift licenses desirable but training can be provided.
Apply your Technical skill set and knowledge to enhance less machine down time.
You can work effectively in a very fast paced production site.
