As a Maintenance Engineer, youll focus on maintaining, repairing, and improving machinery while ensuring a safe and efficient production environment.

Monday to Friday, day shifts £40,000 per year Key Responsibilities: Prioritise and coordinate maintenance activities to align with production goals.
Communicate with the operations team about any potential safety or quality issues identified during maintenance.
Perform regular preventative maintenance and urgent repairs on machinery and equipment.
Assist with installation, relocation, and overhauling of machinery to support operational needs.
Conduct repairs on plant machinery, including work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Carry out electrical installations, working with both single-phase and three-phase circuits.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment in line with manufacturing standards and procedures.
Collaborate with contractors and oversee external maintenance activities as needed.
Diagnose faults, test, and make adjustments, finding cost-effective solutions without detailed specifications.
Skills/Qualifications Required: Recognised qualifications in engineering.
Knowledge of safety, hygiene, and quality procedures, ideally with experience in a food production environment.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with team members, contractors, and suppliers.
Proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to challenge existing processes constructively.
A desire to continually develop relevant skills and technical knowledge.
Capable of working independently or as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
Flexible approach to responsibilities and a strong commitment to task prioritization and meeting deadlines under pressure.
