The business is keen to appoint a Maintenance Engineer with either an Electrical or Mechanical bias, to join the Engineering Team and work across the full scope of production machinery on site.
The Role
Work a Monday to Friday shift pattern based around 6-2, 2-10, 10-6; Undertake planned preventative maintenance on a range of equipment including: mixers, conveyors, palletisers, baggers, silos, dividers, cartoners, motors, drives, high-speed packaging, PLC's, checkweighers, metal detection, vision inspection, inspection equipment; Ensure that machinery, systems, infrastructure, and equipment run optimally with minimal downtime; Respond to equipment breakdowns and conduct routine and condition-based maintenance; Diagnose faults and research solutions to stop re-occurring breakdowns; Establish different maintenance procedures and protocols; Conduct and oversee maintenance process audits; Be involved with Project Engineering at a site benefitting from considerable CAPEX investment; Assist with the implementation of robust Engineering systems; Work closely with all departments: Operations, Manufacturing, Quality/Technical, Supply Chain; Work with the production team to improve production flow, throughput and productivity on a variety of products and manufacturing processes; During new product trials the Engineer appointed will provide expertise, guidance and practical support in the specification, trialling and introduction of new products into Manufacturing.
The Person
Experienced within a fast-moving Manufacturing environment such as Food or similar; Have the ability to work well within a team and independently; To be a proactive problem-solver with excellent attention to detail; Self-motivated and willing to go the extra mile; Educated to HNC / C&G / NVQ (Mechanical or Electrical); Competent in a variety of engineering disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Plant); Able to work at pace and possess the passion and determination to always look for improvement.

Salary: £48,861 pa + Overtime Paid at time and a half, and double-time on Sunday, + Very Generous Company Pension + Benefits.
