Conduct scheduled maintenance, repairs, and enhancements on machinery and equipment to ensure continuous production flow.
Regularly monitor and inspect equipment, addressing any potential risks to safety or product quality, and report any issues immediately.
Work in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager to carry out necessary repairs, preventative maintenance, and equipment checks.
Handle various tasks across the production facility, including maintenance of boilers, pasteurisers, and processors, all while adhering to strict health and safety standards.
Perform basic plumbing, fabrication, and pipework as needed to support production needs.
Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and coordinate stock levels of spare parts with team members.
Qualifications: City & Guilds in electrical and/or mechanical engineering Fabrication skills are beneficial Experience: Proven background in an FMCG setting (experience in food manufacturing is a plus) Hands-on experience with machine maintenance and shift work Proficiency in MS Office for efficient record-keeping Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of manufacturing equipment and plant machinery Knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety standards Strong problem-solving skills, with an organised and methodical approach Self-motivated and proactive, with an ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure If youre a committed Engineer looking to make an impact in a challenging role with excellent benefits, please get in touch with me directly.
