Are you a Lead Engineer looking for your next opportunity?
We are working with a global food manufacturing company in Leicester who are looking for an experienced engineer to drive forward the operational excellence.
You will be leading a team of engineers and reporting into the Engineering Manager and will be responsible for continues improvements to the lines, planning the maintenance schedule and coaching and developing the existing team.
You will come from an Engineering background in the FMCG or food manufacturing industries with experience of leading teams and be committed to self development.
This role will operate on a day's based contract working Monday – Friday, leading shift teams, and driving improvements.
The role as a Lead Engineer: Plan maintenance tasks and ensure they are executed by the team.
To develop the teams technical knowledge.
Prioritising work orders and notifications.
Identifying improvement plans through the tracking of maintenance indicators.
Identifying ways in which to reduce losses.
Champion and lead the continuous improvement process.
Qualifications and skills needed for the Lead Engineer role: Time-served engineer with a Mechanical or Electrical bias.
Level 3 NVQ Engineering Qualification.
Effective communication skills.
Have integrated work system and operational experience.
Hands on experience as an engineer in a manufacturing setting.
Possess a flexible mindset and work as part of a wider team.
